We had a lot of fun helping Paul Solis and Griffin Mcpartland print different types of pieces for their respective shows. Frequent shop lurker Paul Solis held his show two weekends ago at the Oakland Surf Club. Paul's art does not disappoint and leaves you feeling as if you just experienced the virtual.

As stated by Paul in a recent interview on the Oakland Surf Club's website his show was about "being focused on detail and developing a floating structure that might be exploding but could be reforming at the same time. It’s abstraction trying so desperately to be representative of an object that never existed. It’s the unwinding of my mind and my therapy to wind it back together."

Last weekend our friend Griffin Mcpartland had some of his art on display at the Needles and Pens 10 Year Anniversary Show located at the iconic San Francisco Luggage Store Gallery. Along with Griffin's art the show featured work from a vast aray of other artists. We helped him print some colorful bandanas for the show.

He must not have had his parent's work at his print shop. Over the past week John's parents have been kickin it in Oakland. They came all the way from Erie, PA, a.k.a.'the Hawaii of PA' for the purpose of relaxing in beautiful West Oakland and helping out in the shop. Overall productivity went through the roof! 

John's mom, seen above, got a little unmotivated when we started bumpin tunes. She said she won't be buying that new Ghostface album or any of the Screw mixes.
