KONA CLUB
Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 4:54PM We designed these shirts for our favorite tiki bar in the world, the Kona Club. . If you've been there, you might recognize this exotic velvet beauty that greets you as you enter. We wanted to preserve the feel of the velvet painting, and we think it came out pretty damn swell.. These will be for sale at the Kona Club soon..

FLAT FILES!
Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 11:19AM Aaron De La Cruz stopped by last night and gave us these flat files.

Thanks bud.
They were full of these awesome kids drawings that had been sitting in a storage unit.
E.T. with some kind of dredlock, beaver tail thing.

A tough guy with eyepatch and knife, hair made out of the projects, an I (heart) crack bag tat, gold teeth and a Ninja Turtle stomach "situation."

A maniac smoking a cigarette with a razorblade in it, ears with chains through them, connected to Shredder style metal shoulder armor (or, is it an iron cross necklace THROUGH his neck?) fangs and PCP snake eyes.

And this. Alf baby with a bottle of Wild Turkey falling out of a Ford truck, titled "Are Ansestors!"

KIDS THESE DAYS.
Working on shirts for Kona Club today..
BLACKBIRD
Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 4:40PM Last weekend I went home to eat a turkey with my family and while I was there I had a chance to catch up with a few friends, including this heavily browed fellow, Tony Lanners.

Tony and I have been friends for years and he recently went into business for himself crafting fine things out of wood. We went to Blackbird Minneapolis to see his latest job.

The photos are crap but I wanted to show these booths which I think are really awesome... They are made of cherry, and the black is a natural slate. The bar top, which I didn't take a photo of, is finished entirely in copper, and is already developing a good patina.
Last summer I was lucky enough to have this custom desk made for me...

Well anyways.. I'm excited to be working on an identity/ businesscard/ website etc. for this company, which I will post here when they are done!
